American LST unloading a Sherman M4 tank "Hurricane". This M4 is with the 2nd Armored Division, H Company. Both Armored Regiment of the division unloaded on Omaha Beach, St-Laurent sur Mer, France, June 7, 1944. This is equipped with hoods for crossing deep water "Deep Wading Gear" making it possible for the engine to breathe in water. (Many M4's were abandoned on the beach in Normandy)
